Catch Power acquires Solar Analytics for home energy optimization

Solar Analytics Acquired by Catch Power for Enhanced Home Energy Solution

Solar Analytics, a Sydney-based specialist in energy monitoring software, has recently been acquired by Catch Power, a prominent Australian manufacturer of energy management devices. This merger aims to offer consumers a comprehensive home energy solution.

The announcement of the acquisition this week signifies the collaboration between the two companies, leveraging their complementary range of hardware and software services. As part of the deal, Solar Analytics’ team will integrate with Catch Power, expanding the workforce to 40 employees.

Enhanced Energy Management Services

Catch Power has introduced innovative products such as the hot water diverter, designed in-house to provide households with convenient load control, consumption metering, and dynamic export control services. On the other hand, Solar Analytics has been dedicated to developing advanced solar monitoring software to optimise savings from rooftop PV systems, incorporating features like tariff optimisation and automated alerts.

Solar Analytics CEO, Stefan Jarnason, highlighted the potential of the merger by stating, “By combining Catch control hardware and Solar Analytics software, solar users can achieve the goal of a Nil Bill home, offering enhanced energy independence.”

Empowering Solar Owners

Scott Young, CEO of Catch Power, expressed confidence in the merger’s ability to establish dominance in the control and monitoring market. He emphasised the accelerated support for solar owners in controlling and maximising their energy savings, positioning the company ahead of competitors in terms of scale and capability.

The collaboration aims to provide an all-in-one energy solution for solar retailers and owners. Solar retailers will benefit from streamlined fleet management to boost sales and enhance customer service, while solar owners can expect simplified energy control and increased savings.

Both companies have assured that existing products and services will remain accessible initially, with detailed plans for future developments to be announced in the upcoming weeks.
