Catch Power acquires Solar Analytics for home energy optimization
Solar Analytics, a specialist in energy monitoring software based in Sydney, has been acquired by Catch Power, a prominent manufacturer of energy management devices in Australia. This merger aims to provide consumers with a comprehensive home energy solution.
The recent acquisition, announced this week, will see the integration of the two companies’ complementary hardware and software services. Solar Analytics employees will join Catch Power, expanding the team to 40 members.
Enhanced Energy Management
Catch Power has introduced innovative products such as the hot water diverter, designed in-house to offer households convenient access to load control, consumption metering, and dynamic export control services. On the other hand, Solar Analytics has been dedicated to developing advanced solar monitoring software to optimise savings from rooftop PV systems, incorporating features like tariff optimisation and automated alerts.
Solar Analytics CEO Stefan Jarnason expressed excitement about the merger, stating, “By combining Catch control hardware and Solar Analytics software, solar owners can achieve the energy independence of a Nil Bill home. This integration offers a comprehensive home energy solution for solar retailers and owners.”
Market Dominance and Innovation
Catch Power CEO Scott Young believes that the merger will position the company as a leader in the control and monitoring market. Young highlighted the expertise, experience, and technical capabilities gained through the merger, emphasizing the accelerated goal of assisting solar owners in maximising their energy savings.
Young added, “This strategic move places us far ahead of our competitors in terms of scale and capability, enabling us to provide superior services to our customers.”
Both companies have assured that existing products and services will remain accessible initially, with detailed plans for future developments to be announced in the upcoming weeks.
